The 1490 10-eye lace up boot quickly became a Dr. Martens classic original. The boots and shoes have become icons, recognized worldwide for their uncompromising looks, durability and comfort. These styles embody all that is true and unique to Dr. Martens. The classic smooth leather is durable and famously stiff to start with; it moulds to your feet and gets more comfortable with wear. Offered in a unisex size range to include both Men's and Women's sizes. Made with Goodyear welt, the upper and sole are heat-sealed and sewn together, not merely glued, like many footwear constructions. This, together with the Z welt-stitch and heat-sealing process, makes it unique. Dr. Martens have an air-cushioned sole, are oil and fat resistant and offer good abrasion and slip resistance.

Place the foot on a sheet of paper and mark the circumfrence (keep the pencil straight)
Then measure the longest ditance with a ruler and look up the size in our size chart.
Finally, measure the width between the widest points of your foot circumference
Optimal Fit In Two Widths
Unfortunately, foot pain is one of the most common complaints people have.
Much of the pain that people feel when they run, walk and stand is the result of wearing the wrong shoes. In order to correct this – and this can be done – we offer you a choice of two different widths for many of the models in our shop.

Please be sure to choose the shoes with the correct symbol when selecting and order footwear. Your feet should be nestled in the footbed. This means that they should not rest on the inside and outside of the footbed edge. Just as with a regular bed – you don’t lie on the edge.
